We’ve got some exciting news: We have three amazing events to kick off the first half of September!

Mahjong 101 on September 1 at 5:30pm: Our first two classes sold out weeks before the class date — so we’re very excited for the return of Mahjong 101! Led by veteran instructor and mahjong enthusiast Tish Spearman, this class is designed for the true beginner to get a friendly and fun intro to Mahjong. Registration required!

Meet the Artist: Elise Dryden, In the Olive Groves, on September 5 at 6pm: Join us for our very first Meet the Artist with local artist Elise Dryden on September 5! We’ll showcase her series In the Olive Groves and Elise will share the spiritual vision behind the collection. Free!

Second Saturdays Writers’ Open Mics on September 12 at 6pm: Come hear some of the most exciting emerging and established voices in Chattanooga! Our August show had songwriters, poets, and fiction writers — we can’t wait to see what September has in store! Free! (Interested in reading? Registration is required, learn more here.)

Thanks for your support! We’re working on developing even more events, stay tuned!

And a surprise shop announcement for reading to the end: We just opened our brand-new community room, and we’ll have the kids room up and running soon! The community room is available to book for a fee, though some books clubs, writers groups, and non-profits may be eligible for a reduced or waived fee. Our kids room is amazing and almost ready to go — just a few finishing touches, then we’ll move the books over and open the doors!
